וַתִּכְבַּ֧ד יַד־יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־הָאַשְׁדּוֹדִ֖ים וַיְשִׁמֵּ֑ם וַיַּ֤ךְ אֹתָם֙ בעפלים [בַּטְּחֹרִ֔ים] אֶת־אַשְׁדּ֖וֹד וְאֶת־גְּבוּלֶֽיהָ׃
און די האַנט פֿון גאָט איז געװען שװער אױף די אַשדודער און ער האָט זײ פֿאַרװיסט, און האָט זײ געפּלאָגט מיט בלאָטערן – אַשדוד מיט אירע געמאַרקן.
I Samuel
They said, "What is the guilt-offering that we should return to Him?" They answered, "According to the number of Philistine rulers, five golden [images of] hemorrhoids and five golden [images of] mice; for the same plague is on all of you and upon your rulers.
